    It wouldn't take 8-10 weeks if people didn't just bend over.

    On day 46, hell on day 45, call them, if your paperwork (either LTCF or denial letter) isn't ready or in the mail then take them to court. If people were challenging them these abuses wouldn't be happening, and yet again and again with licensing issues it's always some excuse or another as to why it "isn't worth the time" or some other nonsense.

    its all well and good to encourage me to sue the city, but i really don't have the resources to fight city hall, as they say.

    also, the city is known to not follow rules, so even if i take them to court, what's to say they actually do it? i'm not saying its right, its just how the city works.

    that said, i love living in the city, i just can't stand the city government...

    I completely understand that it is difficult for any person to get the resources to fight any kind of legal battle. I do wonder what it would cost to get a writ of mandamus filed and reviewed if the city took longer than 45 days. It truly does suck that it is very easy for them to abuse the system, and very hard for us regular citizens to fight it.
