Default Going to South Joysie For A Few Days -

Any way I can carry concealed in Jersey? Is it difficult to get a non-resident carry permit?

I go to Atlantic City pretty often, and when I'm there I tend to be carrying a lot of cash. AC not being near the top of the "most beautiful cities" list, I would really like to be able to protect myself.

    Any helpful thoughts?

    It's effectively impossible.

going to NJ, huh? my condolences. forget about carrying, ever. they hardly ever issue resident permits, much less non-resident.

forget about a knives, too, or pepper spray, or tazers, or baseball bats, or hockey sticks, or karate midgets, or Oprah, or replicant bodyguards, sperm whales, tea cozies, piano wire, unicorns, petronus charms, or even a friggin' Balrog.

first off welcome to PAFOA. as for your question.no!!!!!!! no non resident permit in New jersey. not even resident can have a concealed fiream unless the have a bussines and have to do the money drops (at at bank). even then they have to go thru a gruling proces. it pretty much impossible. sorry but jersey is a different world. i work there and have to work in some of the worse parts and hate that i cant carry my firearm. I seen a guy on the job get robbed at gun point(with a shoutgun). 10 feet away from the security guard(unarmed guard) and get away. cops came(10 mins later) we gave them discription of the BG. they never found him. Jersey sucks

Ask the local police for a LMHW....It's your best protection in NJ.

Oh!.....It's a License to Mutter Harsh Words.

PS: Contrary to popular opinion it is legal to carry pepper spray.
