XDM 40 Range Report

In short this gun is friggen awesome, but everyone knows that already. So here's different ammo loads. On a round bullseye, I aim at 6 o'clock on black. This is a completely stock gun from the factory. First time this firearm was ever shot, and my first time with a higher caliber pistol.


Winchester White Box 165gr. FMJ @ 20 yds Benchrest. 5 shots.


Magtech 180gr FMJ @ 20 yds Benchrest. 5 shots.


Warners Surplus 165gr FMJ @ 20 yds Benchrest. 5 shots.


Winchester White Box 180gr. JHP @ 20 yds Benchrest. 5 shots.


Warners Surplus 165gr. FMJ @ 10 yds Standing. Rapid fire. 15 shots.

Edit: Duh, forgot to give a size of the targets. 8.5" x 11" paper, Bullseye is 4" diameter, rings are graduated in 1" increments.

I usually use WWB 180gr in mine (or Federal 180gr), and I like them about the best. Clean firing.. accurate... reliable... and best of all, fairly cheap!

I have a box of Magtech at home to run through and try out. Haven't had the opportunity yet though.
