Knox Gun Dealer
I heard about a dealer in Knox on one of the main drags, has anyone ever been to his shop? Hows his inventory for used/older guns?
I'd hate to make a 60+ mile round trip at 4-8mpg for nothing..RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland

Re: Knox Gun Dealer
It's Sportsmans Outfitters. Phone number is (814) 797-5253. I haven't been in there recently, the last time there was a decent selection of new stuff.

Re: Knox Gun Dealer
While you are out, get off at the Shippinville exit and go north on 66. Cross 322 and go a couple miles more.
Route 66 sporting goods is there and they have a big inventory.
lots of reloading goodies, too.American by BIRTH, Infidel by CHOICE

Re: Knox Gun Dealer
I hit Route 66 a couple times a month.. My "lady friend" lives in Marienville, so I take the long way to her or home from once every couple weeks.
My only complaint about Route 66 is they have jack for used and older handguns. There's nothing made in the last 10-15, or more, years that I have interest in.

Sportsman's is a nice shop with mostly reasonable prices. They generally have lower prices on ammo also and even seem to have it in stock when no one else does.

Re: Knox Gun Dealer
I did check out Sportsmans a couple weekends ago or so. They had a decent selection of long guns, especially for those that like boltguns(blah). Prices were about typical.

Re: Knox Gun Dealer
a coworker just bought a .380 from the shop in knox, and is working on a deal for some kind of rifle. so far they have the lowest price on what he wants
mauers is expensive and not very personable at times. there is a little shop just a few miles from mauers called gun town mt. they are right next to the airport. they owner used to work for mauers, but left because of the way they treated customers...not nearly as big of a selection, but will get you almost anything that you want. with that said, mauers is where i bought my last gun.
