Re: Shooting Ranges In Allentown/Whitehall Area??
As far as the zoning meeting in January, the place wasn't named yet. I was at the meeting and spoke with the owner. I told him I wanted to be the first to shoot there. The location will be on Hilton St. at the corner of Hilton St. and Belmont St. near the Club Mohican.

Re: Shooting Ranges In Allentown/Whitehall Area??
I'd love to be second! I live in the Palmer area and an indoor range would be wonderful... any idea what the owner is thinking of in regards to facilities, range length, targets, etc?
Indoor ranges seem hard to come by.. I've been to that one in Whitehall, but the idiot that is up in your face regarding just about anything and has zero people skills completely turned me off. I've heard (according to a thread here) that he's gone, but the damage is done.. I doubt I'll ever step foot in there again.

Re: Shooting Ranges In Allentown/Whitehall Area??
Do you have to have a membership to shoot at Firing Line, or can I walk in there, drop fifteen bucks and stay for an hour?
An indoor range in Easton would be nice since I work out that way!
I also recall a friend of mine telling me about a park you can visit in my area (Allentown) where you can shoot for free but they have strange rules (like only three rounds allowed in a magazine). Can anyone confirm this?

Re: Shooting Ranges In Allentown/Whitehall Area??
Rathmec,
Your friend was talking about the State Game Lands that is in NW Lehigh county. Yes, it is a 3-round limit in the magazine per SGL range rules. To get there, take 78 W to 100 North, turn right on Sell Rd, then right on the next road after about 500 feet. It is a dirt road that you have to travel for about a mile or so. You will see the range on your left side.
Enjoy!

Re: Shooting Ranges In Allentown/Whitehall Area??
Tarpit got me curious about the NW Lehigh SGL so I started Googling.
For the sheer heck of it here's what I found.
It's SGL 205, try dropping these coordinates into a Google Map search. 40.659257,-75.666879 or click the link and zoom in. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...=UTF8&t=h&z=15
