Re: Positive "Non-encounter"
actually, he really should have asked him what the hell he wanted and tape recorded his ass...
(kidding guys, just having a little fun from the discussion another thread).
honestly, my experiences have been friendly like that with LEO I have encountered, even when I'm getting a warning or cited for my screwups like late with registration or inspection..

Re: Positive "Non-encounter"
It just isn't fair. Sometimes, my scooter doesn't trigger the traffic light contact loops, so I'm sitting there for one or two cycles in the left turn lane until either a car pulls up behind me or I run the red light. I once did that right in front of a police cruiser! And what do you know, the officer just looked the other way. I am sure, if I'd been driving a big SUV or truck, he would have pulled me over for that. This double standard borders on discrimination. That's what is happening here. As if writing a ticket for a scooter rider is below an officers dignity!

Re: Positive "Non-encounter"
If you are there for more than 2 traffic cycles , and can safely proceed , do so. I asked that question to my MSF instructor who happened to be a local LEO, and his response was to do just what I stated above. They know these things happen , and if I am correct , I came across a House Bill that addresses this very issue.
