Can I carry here or there?
I'm not really understanding the list of questions asking if one can carry at certain events or in different places. The state laws are clear where one may not carry a weapon. As I understand it a posted event or business restricts "unlawful" carry of weapons, but that is sort of an oxymoron, or something. No? (Gee, I'm carrying a loaded gun without a permit to rob the 7-11, I think I obey the sign and not to bring it into the store.)
I am assuming that the reason for the proliferation of this question is to determine what the consequences would be if detained by law enforcement, or what are the legal consequences for defending oneself in a 'posted' area.
Any private property owner has the right to request anyone entering their property to disarm. You have the choice whether to comply or leave.
The restricted areas, spelled out in state statute, would likely carry a heavy penalty for non-compliance, if detected.
All this is an individual's choice. If carrying concealed for personal protection, keep it concealed.Veritas Vos Liberat

Re: Can I carry here or there?
Are you talking about any recent threads in particular? I don't see any related to law on where/where not.
I see a couple asking about specific private property. Such as the one I posted on Kneobels.
These are inquiries of the specific private property rules, not law.
There is a sticky addressing the legal aspects at the top of the forum.

Re: Can I carry here or there?
Let me sum it up.
Can you carry here or there?
You can carry anywhere!
You can carry in a boat.
You can carry with a goat.
You can carry in a car.
You can carry in a bar.
Though you can't carry into court
You can when you see you favorite sport.
Though the wording is vague and generally awful,
You can carry in a school if your purpose is lawful.
You can carry places posted unless otherwise asked
Then if you don't leave, they'll say you trespassed.

Re: Can I carry here or there?
I suppose I'm thinking if I decide to protect myself and my family I'll be armed wherever I am, sign or no sign, Knobels, Dorney Park, Renaissance Fair, Kutztown Folk Fest, Musicfest, etc. If some how I am discovered to have a weapon and asked to leave, I'll leave. If I need to defend me or mine, and my weapon is in the car because of a sign, shame on me.

Re: Can I carry here or there?
I'm not a lawyer, and this is just my opinion; take it FWIW.
Last time I checked signs have no weight, and the basic reason for this IMHO is that you're not doing anything ILLEGAL by lawfully carrying a weapon. Signs on private property merely state the wishes of the property owner. If a property owner or manager finds out you're carrying and exercises their wish by asking you to leave, you must comply. If you don't, at that point you're trespassing and then you ARE breaking the law."Political Correctness is just tyranny with manners"

Yeah, but no one answered if you can carry with a goat yet!
Skeet is a sport where you are better to hit half of each bird then completely blast one and miss the other completely.
The choice is yours, place your faith in the court system and 12 of your peers, or carried away by 6 friends.
