    Hello, I am looking for real life accounts on the web about people who have
    actually taken a bullet in a gunfight etc and how it effected their abilities to
    keep on fighting etc.

    I never seen anything like this and it could be educational for us CC guys

    thanks

    Since there hasn't been a ruling on the "winging", I'm gonna tell my stories.

    Nothing major, no full entry wound or battle scar...

    1981: Tampa, FL>Port Tampa area.

    It was right after school, there was a big gathering at the city park on Prescott St(?). A fight between a couple(or more) youths that appeared to be in junior or senior high was going on. Of course who doesn't mind watching a good fist fight, so I stopped to watch. About 5-10min into it, the cops show up and someone starts yelling at us. About 50-75 of us take off like roaches when turn on the lights. I bolted towards the Robinson High baseball field, jumping over a wood privacy fence. As I was at the the fence with my left leg dangling over the other side, I heard a bang behind me. A moment later I heard something smack the fence below me, then felt something tug on my pantleg and sting my leg. Didn't really hurt at the moment, felt like a bee sting.

    So, when I got home I took a look at what happened. There was about a 38cal hole in and out of my pant leg, a 2in burn mark on my skin and at the end of the burn mark was a few small holes with lead fragments in there. I still have one the fragments just under the skin that i didn't see to dig out when I was 9yo. ..yeah, I dug them out myself - didn't see any need to waste money at hospital that we didn't have.

    ====================================

    1989-1990 or so.. East Hillsborough county, about 3 in the afternoon.

    A couple buddies and I were out rabbit hunting, all of us were equipped with shotguns. We were in a "^" formation, a lead guy with a guy trailing on each side about 30-40ft apart.. Wearing blaze orange too..

    A rabbit ran between me(lead guy) and my friend on the left - however there was something big, really big, chasing it. Well my friend was smart enough to not fire because we were in that direction - but when the "thing" that was chasing the rabbit stopped and approached my friend - well things changed. My friend then blasted at the "thing" because it was coming at him in an aggressive manner. It was the second time we had come across this "thing", but the first time was 2 years before and all we had were flashlights and BB guns. Anyways, some of the #6 shot had spread enough to bypass the "thing" and make it through the brush to hit me. Had to pop out about a dozen pellets that night after we got home.

    "thing" = I refuse to answer what it was because you all will think I'm crazy. Just imagine 2 legs, 7ft tall, and hairy.

    what was it - you gotta tell us - or at least p.m. me and tell me............ i'm guessing if it was human, you wouldn't have shot at it and bears don't have just 2 legs..........

    Hunting with Dick Cheney and you don't want to admit it?
    He is not 7 ft tall and is not all that hairy any more
    Skeet is a sport where you are better to hit half of each bird then completely blast one and miss the other completely.

    The choice is yours, place your faith in the court system and 12 of your peers, or carried away by 6 friends.
