A little M1 help please.
Does anyone know if my Iver Johnson M1 Carbine Clone will fit (even with a little tooling) into a military stock. I got the gun at a great price and hate the stock. I would love to get a mil stock to have it look more "authentic".

You aren't shittin it's ugly. The drop grip looks like a five year old carved it out of hard clay. Even with the stock extended, it helps very little.

I have an IJ with the sliding wire stock like yours. It fits the mil stock I took off of my surplus carbine to put a Choate stock on.

Re: A little M1 help please.
Hi Jules, I have had my IJ for close to 20 years. As I recall I paid $200 for it at the time. I also bought 26 15 round mags for $25 to go with it, new in the GI wrap! The IJ wire stock carbines appear to have gone up in value, a dealer by me at a show last year had one out for $550, and I have seen people looking for $800 for them on Gunbroker, but I don't know if they are getting it. I think that IJ called the pistol version the Enforcer. Always looked cool to me, but I would bet that the blast must be bad. You may want to check on Gunbroker and Auctionarms and see what they are going for. I have always liked the little carbines, to many WW2 movies I guess! Enjoy.

Re: A little M1 help please.
I suppose the $250 I paid for mine was a smokin deal, thanks.

Sounds like a great deal, they are fun guns to shoot. I am sure that you will enjoy it.
