G30SF trigger bar/failure to return to battery
Hey I've seen multiple posts about this happening with these guns. Something about some abnormal wear on the trigger bar and FTRTB. Does anyone know if this problem has been corrected with the newer versions or does anyone have any success stories with these guns. I put one on layaway yesterday because it felt good in my hand, but now I'm getting nervous after reading some of these reviews and am wondering if I should change my mind. Thanks
Now less Glock, more H&K :)

Re: G30SF trigger bar/failure to return to battery
Think I have the answer to my own question because nobody else seems to. Went ahead and picked up that used but never fired G30SF. Its birthday was 8/31/09. From what I've read the ones with the problems were from around spring of 09, don' know if that matters or not. Anyway, took it to the range today for the first time and not one issue with it. Same Glock reliability I have come to know and love. Granted I only shot 50 rounds (.45 ammo is damn expensive...) Another couple hundred flawless rounds and I will feel comfy carrying it.
P.S. Met another PAFOA member today while at the range... Bonus! Now less Glock, more H&K :)

Re: G30SF trigger bar/failure to return to battery
The Trigger bar 4256-1 has been discontinued in the G30,G30sf,G29 and G29sf and the replacement is the 4256-1- ,,notice the extra - after the 1.
If you don't have a problem than your good to goLast edited by TcRoc; January 17th, 2010 at 06:48 PM.

Re: G30SF trigger bar/failure to return to battery
Re-read my post,,if your gun functions fine you don't need it ,,,, I'm guessing the minor alternation they may have made to the trigger bar was to fix the FTRB problem a limited amount of guns had..They are just installing that Trigger bar in certain model new guns now instead ,,so if your having no problems you don't need the new Trigger bar

Re: G30SF trigger bar/failure to return to battery
Just because you are not having trouble now, doesn't mean its all good to go. My G21sf has the groove (not just a rub) on the trigger bar. It functions fine, but it has been argued that the grooves on the trigger bars that are affected can weaken and eventually lead to breakage. I've never had a ftrb with it, and I keep an eye on the groove. I can get another trigger bar, but the same thing will eventually happen since they have not made a replacement to solve the problem in the G21sf.
