Thread: New revolver

    Default New revolver

    It's not the best ever, but it's my first wheelgun, and I got it on a pretty good trade.

    It's a S&W Model 686 no dash 6" .357 Mag with Pachmayr Presentation Grips and outfitted with a Bushnell Magnum Phantom 2.5x scope.

    I'm going to look into replacing the scope with some open sights for summer plinking, and keep the scope for winter hunting. Anyone recommend any sights, or have a factory rear sight assembly laying around?

    That is a very nice piece. You have your flashlight mounted backwards though! I'm kidding, I couldn't let that one go by. Very nice gun. Enjoy.

    Great pre lock Smith "L" frame. You should be able to scrounge up a used set of adjustable rear smith sights here:

    Nice. Hows the trigger pull? Thats what won me over to the 686. I have several.

    Gorgeous gun!!! I actually like the looks of that scope too! I have the same 686 but it's a 4" and I love it. It was actually the first handgun that I ever bought.
