http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM232-5.html
I need to start stocking up on .223 ammo has anyone had any experience with the above? I know that its not reloadable but i was thinking about getting about 500 rounds of this so i have it incase a SHTF situation comes around. I plan on checking out Wallyworld prices on .223 as well

This stuff seems to be the most accurate of all the Bear and Wolf ammo. My Colt and Bushmasters perform 2" to 2.5" 100 yd. groups with it.

Re: Brown Bear, HP, 62 Grain
Bought 1000 rounds about 2 months ago for the same reason. Fired a few boxes through my Mini 14 with no ammo-related issues. I tested accuracy at 100 yards against Wolf 55 gr FMJs. Gun was sighted with the Wolf originally. Both brands shot about 4-5" 15 shot groups at 100 yards with a few flyers from both BB and Wolf. Personally, I'd say its pretty comparable to Wolf. Thought I saw "tula" brand 223 online for less than that though. Can't remember where anymore. Might be something to look into if you're going for the cheapest option.

Re: Brown Bear, HP, 62 Grain
It seems to be pretty good stuff. I've shot a few hundred rounds with nary a problem. Just be careful with it since it's lacquer coated and not polymer coated like Wolf. You need to make sure you don't get a build-up of lacquer in your chamber. Probably not an issue unless you like bump-firing or like to do lots of rapid fire drills.
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

With the way CTD handled themselves and tried to take advantage of the sit. a few months back during those crazy times they are the last people I will send my money to. I will not support them and I encourage others not to either.
With that said check out Palmetto State Armory.
I've ordered from them many times and will continue to do so.
They have 62 BB @ $115 per 500 and will ship up tp 1000 rounds for $12 anywhere.

FWIW I too think the BB 62gr is the best of the 'cheaper' ammo available.
It groups much better then any other in that cat. Please feel free to visit a forum that I moderate:

Big +++++ for Palmetto State Armory. I've dealt with them many times and their prices and shipping are hard to beat.
