I just read that they are offering a "Springfield Armory Armorer's Course". Google it. Apparently it is 2-3 days, and will work to make you more proficient with working on the XD line, M1911A1, and M1A product lines. It's around $700.00, though, so it's not for the financially feint of heart. Sig offers one for their product lines for around $395. And if you join the Glock Shooting Sports Federation (GSSF) for $350.00 (lifetime membership), you can qualify to take the Glock Armorer's Course. I would take the Springfield one alone for the wealth of knowledge it may offer, regarding the 1911A1. Then of course there are the AGI videos. I don't own any yet, so I can't comment as to their usefulness.
