Got my LTCF!
Finally! I used some Christmas monies to cover the fee. For the record, here is how Columbia County does things:
1. Fill out form (you only need page 1):
http://sheriffofcolumbiacounty.com/a...biaCCWform.pdf
2. Take form to Sheriff's office is ColCo Courthouse in Bloomsburg.
3. Pay fee.
4. YOU have to tell your references to call in on your behalf - the Sheriff's dept. WILL NOT call them for you.
5. After both references have called in, you can go pick up your permit.
Done!

Strange...I never heard that one before...requiring references to call in...I don't think that's in the UFA
Do you get a drivers-license type LTCF there or still the older, large paper type?

Re: Got my LTCF!
IMO, it's rather slapdash. It's paper; slightly larger than a credit card but it still fits in my wallet (bi-fold) in a back pocket. It doesn't fit in a credit card slot or behind my DL. 1/4" longer than a credit card, and 1/2" taller.
I'd call it a 1/4 sheet of paper folded in half, and then it's put through a hand laminator (poorly, mine already started peeling apart).
The paper and laminate were cut by hand; the guy used a pair of scissors right there in front of me. It's not even square.

+1 on the references having to call in being weird.
Anyways congrats! Now use your spare time becoming proficient with your carry firearm and brushing up on the laws that are available on the forum.
Be safe!
