Would bears still be out and about this time of year?
After the recent snow fall on jan 2nd i saw large roundindish footprints in the snow in my yard that look just like Bear prints, are they still out and about?
Thanks , nyman

ABSOLUTELY!!!! At least it is here! I had one walk through my yard around new years eve, I don't know exactly when it came through but it was after the morning snow and after I left home which was around 6:00
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Wow, i thought these guys would be hibernating by now, it wasa a big one too, based on the depth and circumfrence of the print.

Cellphone Pic of fresh track I took on this last Saturday. Snow and high winds that day so track was definitely less than 1/2 hour old. So fresh that I suspect I may have spooked him and didn't know it.
Front pad width was approx 4.5" which is probably a 300-400 lb bear.Last edited by Pa. Patriot; January 5th, 2010 at 02:13 PM.
