Maybe the guy 'looked down' because he was checking out your junk and then saw the pistol.

Thats good to hear you had a good experience. I go to school up at main and carry concealed downtown when I can. As a student, Im always on campus so obviously I dont have a weapon on me. I usually head out to the walmart out by the mall. It tends to be less crowded with students since its further from campus.

mitshu04:
This is the one I prefer to use as well. I have had many discussions with employees and one time with the Shift Manager and Loss Prevention/Security person (who I knew from a previous job, but was unaware of his position at the time) and all went well.
The one time with the MGR and Security I was ratted out by a "scared customer". I found out later that I had been "watched" multiple trips while in there but the SEC guy who recognized me told all the employees that I was OK. Only problem with that comment is if he did not know me...would I still have been OK?
Needless to say that I still OC in WM and that is my fav WM of the 2 to shop in.

i use that walmart alot, and for the most part, I don't have any issue showing my gun
Now, i do not OC, but plenty of times my gun was visible - Take coat off to get a haircut, taing wallet out, and so on.
Only one I did have issue with was this old hog wench bag back at sporting goods section.
My gun was showing, and she did ask me if I have lisenced to carry.
I did tell her that in PA, there is no need to....well, you know the drill, but I did tell her i do have one, if that makes her feel better.
She did say store does not allow gun to be visible. I asked her to call manager, because I was ready to argue, but she just said "never mind sir" and ringed me up.Audemus jura nostra defendere

Definitely the better of the two wally worlds in/around State College. I have no current experience there as I did not carry while a student at main, but I return to State College often so this information is good to know.
