owning for a few years doesnt say much to the question of reliability if its only been shot a few times.

Ive decided against it (again) anyway. Handled one today and its not as slim as I imagined, and next to a G26 the slide looked the same width. It "felt nice", if that means anything, but for what I want it for it wont do at that size.

Shawn, they make a 30SF slim frame.

Talk to TonyF before you buy a G36.

Tony suggested against it. But I wanted some more info.

regardless they are too large for consideration in this role.

Shot a few times? Jeez. OK.
Lessee. I'm not one of these shoot 300 rounds at a time guys - don't see the point. Had the gun three years. Or is it four? average once a week at the range. A few magazines with the Glock (in addition to why I went in the first place), let's say average half a box of ammo each trip. That would be - round numbers 50wks X 3 yrs X 25 = gosh this is work = 3750 rounds. No failures.
    Is that better?

Never owned a G36 but I will agree with the guys speaking on the G30, was a very good weapon, never had any issues.

yes, much better, and thank you.

point is here on the internet we dont know one another so I have no idea if your one of "those guys" or not.
I have asked the same question of other posters who had ______ for yeeeears without a failure, and when pressed would say they sjot it "plenty" and eventually "like 800 rounds without a failure"
so, I ask the questions that need real ansewrs
Ive seen guys on here, with high post counts, lots of rep, go and post all about there new gun and how they carried it all day an loooooove it, and then later on you find out they "finally got it out to the range".
carrying a gun they havent shot, at all

    gotta ask, dont take offense

30 SF = Short Frame, not Slim Frame.
