Close. They are introducing a new SA revolver sometime between now and the S.H.O.T. Show. Not sure what it is, but Michael Bane's been talking about it on his blog for a week or two. All he's said so far is that it's a SA of some type and that he's already said he'd buy it from Ruger.

I'm not interested in a 9mm LCP. My PF9 works just fine. I wouldn't mind seeing a compact SR-9 or even one in .40S&W. Even better would be a Mini in .243 or .308, but that will never happen.

I'm guessing a 1911 clone. To mark the 100 yr. anniversary.

Ruger has been making 1911 frames for years under contract for other manufacturers.

I would have to guess either a PF9/PT709 knockoff
    a SR40 or SR45!
    a 22LR LCP style pistol (I wish)
    or maybe even this!

1911 was my first guess too. Especially since they just brought out their AR a little while ago. In the last couple of years they answered the polymer market with the SR9 and the compact market with the LCP and LCR. But they still don't have a direct response to the 1911. I have a P90; it's a decent gun, but IMO it isn't exactly competition for a quality 1911.

Second and third guesses would be a .40 caliber SR and a revised GP revolver, respectively

I hope not. The market is saturated with 1911s. Nearly every manufacturer has one. I don't think there's anything new that Ruger could bring to the table with regards to the 1911 platform. It's the same as their AR. It didn't need to be made.
