S&W 610 owners
OK I picked up a new S&W 610 in 4" and holy cow is this thing accurate, but my question is this: who makes the best moon clips, and the best loader/unloader? Doing it by hand is not an option anymore, I loaded up the 20 moon clips I bought and I have scars to show for it there must be a better solution out there..........any help would be appreciated!

Never used one, but there don't seem to be many out there either. Try TK Custom.

Re: S&W 610 owners
The Dillon catalog had a fancy moon clip loader/unloader but I think it was for .45 ACP only. Rather than a fancy tool, you may want to try Rimz moon clips:

HTH. Good luck.

Re: S&W 610 owners
I ordered some RIMZ moons already I was just wondering what else is out there. And TK customs will most likely sell me a moon/demoon tool. Thanks for the help.

Re: S&W 610 owners
I got mine from Brownells.I got both the metal and polymer. My 610 is an older one so I had reem out the middle of the polymer moon clips. The extracter on the newer models must be different. Both work well.I also have the original half moon clips, they're nice for pocket carry.

Re: S&W 610 owners
I made my demooner with a piece of 1/2 " copper pipe cut the same as the brownells demooner. Works great and was free.

Re: S&W 610 owners
I use the barrel of a pilot precise pen slid into the cartridge as a demooning tool. Works slick and so far hasn't killed the pen. Still snap the cartridges in by hand though. That can still get a little old.
I have been thinking of getting some rimz. Mabye I'll have to get off my but and do it.

Demooner,
Use a handle of a golf club, Cut a square shaped notch in at and be happy.
You can usually find old golf clubs in thrift shops for about $1 dollar.
Or free in someones trash.

Excellent ideas, I love the "on the cheap" suggestions, that is why I still lurk here!
