It is a well-finished rifle. The furniture on it is glass-smooth and glossy.
It will not hurt it and steel cased ammo is good the AK's soul.

Please ... don't ever worry about steel cased ammo in an AK

Your rifle is Serbian. Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore. Also, AK's are meant to shoot steel cased ammo. Shooting brass in an AK is a waste of money.

Why is all the real surplus brass cased?

That's an easy one... it isn't. It's typically steel cases, lacquer coated. Yugo surplus is brass, however.

None the less, the AK was designed for steel cases.

Buy once, cry once. Being a WASR, I put quite a few rounds through it first to make sure it was gtg before dropping that much cash into it. Bushnell TRS should be here tomorrow or Thursday.

Ahhhhh. Yugo was the only surplus I've seen.

Family picture, from left to right.

    5.56x45MM Colt M4 semiautomatic rifle.

.22LR HK MP5 SD semiautomatic rifle. (made by Carl Walther under license by HK, and apparently made in the same factory as the "real" 9MM MP5s)

    7.62x39MM FEG SA 85M AK-pattern semiautomatic rifle.

Since this thread is about AKs...the FEG SA 85M has the FAB Defense/Mako Group side folding stock with adjustable cheek rest, FAB Defense/Mako Group pistol grip, FAB Defense/Mako Group front quad rails and Primary Weapon Systems J-Tac 47 muzzle brake.

Was waiting on a replacement adapter tube to put my CAA stock back on so I sprayed the wood stock black and tossed it on. Ignore the ugly couch and crappy quality photo.

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

I really hope you're joking. That man is not to be taken seriously after the stunt he pulled threatening to kill people.

In other news, he's my AK pistol. (Weapon is unloaded and the loaded magazine is there solely for dramatic effect)
