I think what's ironic is the perception that only the ultra-liberal are supportive of gay rights. Sort of like the perception that only the ultra liberals are supportive of black people.

It is even a little ironic that the ultra-liberals are the ones who would disarm both groups leaving them open to violence from anyone who might wish to do them harm for their sexual preference or the color of their skin. Gun control is nothing but a bigoted concept.

And no, not all gays are uber liberals, and I personally know some that while being liberal in many many ways they are very much pro gun.

I much prefer a tri axis look at things. More a sphere with not just the outside extremes but every possible point inside the ball as well.

The worst being the extreme point anywhere on the exterior of the ball, since it doesn't allow room for thought of what others may believe, or the ability to compromise, or room for change.

I'm still trying to figure out what believing in gun ownership rights has to do with being against gay marriage or low taxes.

Are all liberals uber-liberal? If not I think you missed the qualifier I put specifically because not all liberals are anti-gun or pro-gay rights.
