Default 9mm FMJ for about $12/box shipped at Cabelas

Cabela's has some decent 9mm on sale.

With the $20 off per $100 coupon to defray the cost of shipping, you can get it for about $12/box, including shipping.

Might be a good option of you're striking out at Walmart lately.

I need to stock up and was just making an inventory of what Cabelas has. Their prices are actually really good. Question about the one you listed, it is called training ammo. What is the 8,0g? The other ammo from this brand has 14g, is that they amount of powder?

They have some Hertzer for $219/1000 right now.

The remington UMC seems to be the next cheapest, in jhp and fmj. Can anyone comment on how well it works? Is there a better source locally?

Finally if I picked up the 1000 of Hertzer would anyone want some of it?

I'm pretty sure that's just the weight of the bullet. 124 grains is 8 grams.

That makes sense, it was the training ammo that threw me off, I guess I thought it might be a light load for practice.

the remington umc isn't bad for just target shooting. i've had a ftf in my ruger using it but no problems with my sig. the only thing i noticed with the umc is that it seems the bullet is seated deeper than most factory rounds which makes the round slightly shorter.

i would say these are less accurate than federal and almost the same as wwb.

ftf is my concern I have a bunch of winchester in the white box, it is cheap and the first 100 were great. The second box had 6 that didn't fire. I don't need some super accurate ammo for range time but I do want something that goes boom every time.

the only issue i've had with the WWB is that i get shorted a round or two every few boxes. other than that i'd still prefer it over the umc, but i'll take what i can get.

i'm gonna check my local walmarts tomorrow. if i don't have any luck there i'll probably grab some of this from cabelas.

for 10 boxes it comes out to about $122 shipped for 500rds. not horrible
