Scope advice

I got a Mossberg 500 field/deer combo for Christmas and it came with a 2.5X magnification scope for the riffled barrel. However after taking it to the range a few times I think I would like something with a little more zoom. I saw this on Cabela's site, any opinions on it? Or any recommendations for an inexpensive scope with a decent zoom?

I don't have the scope you listed but have had a few Pine Ridge (Cabellas) scopes in the past. They worked and seemed to hold up just fine under hunting conditions. I have the 3x9x40 on my sons 10/22 and it shoots very well. I have the same scope on my Marlin 336 .35 Remington and it has been holding up for almost 5 years. YMMV

I say get it, if it works, great, if not you are only out $40.00.

I have a mossy 835 & I have a Bushnell Banner scope mounted on it...It is a little more that the one you have but I like it very much. I paid about 90.00 for it.

Did you get the Bushnell with the 3-9x magnification? That is actually the one I got. Found it online for a good price and I felt more comfortable going with a more well known brand. Haven't had the opportunity to try it out yet though.
