Exclamation BERSA 380 BROKEN FIRING PIN

I have a Bersa 380. Decent gun. I've had it for a few years and recently brought it to the range to let off a box. Later that day when i was cleaning it i noticed the firing pin was broken (inside the slide)... there was a peice of it missing.. But it was firing just an hour before... I doubt my last bullet of the day is the one that broke it so im guessing it was broken all day.. my question being: how long will it fire with a peice of the firing pin missing? and two: i've been looking everywhere for info on where to get a new one and how much it would cost to repair? any help? please? and no warranty btw. expired last year and im not the original owner so no lifetime... please help.

Here's a site that has parts, looks like it's out of stock. I have no idea how to install it on that gun.

    http://www.e-gunparts.com/products_new.asp?CatID=10502

Found this on the Bersa web site, there's a number for replacement parts at the top of the page:

I would suggest you get in touch with the guys at Colorado Gun Works:

    http://www.coloradogunworks.com/

They are a factory authorized service center for Bersa, the guy I dealt with was named "Royce".

I had an issue with my BT 380, safety broke off right after I bought it (used).

They hooked me up and got my 380 fixed and right back to me in no time, didn't charge me anything either even though I didn't actually have a warranty due to it being used etc.

You can find some more info about them over at this site also:

    http://www.bersatalk.com/forum/

Assuming things are still the same as they were a year or so ago, the guy Royce that I mentioned, was a poster on those forums there under the "Tech Talk" section.

Hope that helps and you get your 380 fixed up soon.

    Take care
