Philly Pastor Allegedly Shoots Son

I would be interested to hear more about this case. The only thing they say is that his son was involved in "a violent domestic dispute".

DARBY — Police say a pastor from suburban Philadelphia fatally shot his son during a family gathering on Christmas. Police say Kirk Caldwell killed his 21-year-old son during a domestic dispute while more than a dozen people were at their Darby home on Friday. Darby police Chief Robert Smythe says the son, Jordan Caldwell, was involved in a violent confrontation with a woman at the house. Smythe says the elder Caldwell intervened and fired a gun, hitting his son in the chest. Kirk Caldwell had not been charged as of Friday evening. There was no answer at the Darby Borough Police Department on Saturday. A woman who answered the phone at Caldwell's home Saturday declined comment. Caldwell is a 44-year-old pastor at End Times Harvest Mission for Christ in Philadelphia.

This just sounds like a shitty situation all around. If it was a good shoot and the father felt he needed to intercede with a firearm to prevent death or severe bodily harm of another person in his home from his own son and ended up killing his son that is not something he will ever be able to live with. Had he not done anything and the son killed a person in his home he would not be able to live with that either.
