Watch for the other shoe to drop. To me, this feels like an elaborate misdirection to draw resources away from the "real" operation that has yet to occur.

That makes no sense for tons of obvious reasons. I predict this last one will turn out to be nothing. Nobody buys a ticket and flies to the USA in 24 hours and that very flight (same flight, no?) was "suppose" to be blown up already.

It looks like they DO try to draw away attention from the real attack. They say that tonight on 60minutes there will be a high placed FBI agent warning us for more attacks on America by Al-Qaida.

increased TSA screening is NOT the answer. if you want to get a weapon or bomb on a plane, you can. whats next? some one will smuggle a stick of dynamite up their ass and they'll be giving us all cavity searches. what we need is more sky marshalls with rubber/aluminum bullets.

A security alert aboard a Northwest Airlines jet ended Sunday after investigators determined the incident -- the second in two days involving a Detroit, Michigan-bound flight -- was "non-serious," federal authorities said.
