Hunting on Christmas (Holiday)?
Is this legal. Was thinking of going on while at my mom and dads before dinner, if lawful.

Why not? I don't see anything in the book that says EXCEPT HOLIDAY'S!

Yes you can hunt on Christmas or Holidays, as long as it is not on Sunday. Many years we hunted on Thanksgiving, but my Mom would never let us on Christmas.

Re: Hunting on Christmas (Holiday)?
You can certainly hunt something on Christmas day. Since we are talking about a Friday, it looks like crow, coyote, groundhog, sparrows, racoon, fox, opossum, skunk, and weasel are open. Also it looks like bobcat is open if you have a bobcat permit. Just be sure to verify season dates before heading into the woods.
Now, New Years Day is another story. Add late archery and flintlock for deer statewide, and of course there are those special regulation areas.
Most of all be Safe, Shoot Straight, and Hail the Hunter!

Small game is closed on Christmas. Figure out what species you want to hunt then just look it up in the book for open days.

Wow, if you had to ask, just read all through both links before you even consider a hunting adventure in PA.

Re: Hunting on Christmas (Holiday)?
I think the point is, that the seasons are plainly listed in the Hunting Manual.
If you bought a license, you should have received that manual with your license.
