Default Rare odd-jobs for some loot?

Hey guys, I'm not from here but I have grandparents in Mt. Carmel. I'm in Pittsburgh so it's a long distance to visit or help out. I wanted to ask if anyone would consider doing small odd-jobs for them once in a while? I'll happily compensate you for your time. I imagine it would be mostly small pick ups and whatnot, nothing major or anything. Something like getting them some groceries and a milkshake or something every now and again.

They're very nice folks, very religious and good people.

Reply back or PM me if you would be willing to do something every now and again. I'll gladly send some cash or paypal or whatever to cover the cost, your time, gratuity, etc.

    Thanks!

Of course I'm no where near there so I can't help out but if I hadn't given you a rep point recently (need to spread some around message) I'd give you one for this, very nice and noble to reach out for help with your grandparents, I had a neighbor lady, she was in her 80's I used to cut her grass, shovel her snow & carry in her groceries, no charge, it's important we take care of our elders. Good Job THC.
    Bill.

Me too. Nice to see some people still give a damn about others.

Thanks for the kind words guys. They're just really good people. I don't think I appreciated them enough when I was younger and now that they're getting older and I'm getting my head out of my ass, I want to help them as much as possible. They've sacrificed their entire lives for their faith. My grandfather was a minister his entire life after the ARMY. He's preached for little or no money for many years while holding multiple other jobs. They run a ministry out of their home, providing bibles and literature to prisoners and anyone that wants one. I just want to give a little bit back, where possible.

who are they, maybe i know them??

id like to help, but i honestly dont have the time, not a "copout" seriously.

if they need an odd job done (fix a door, or what not) i MAY be able to schedule it in somewhere.but id be hard pressed to be able to find time on short notice, such as helping w/ groceries and such.

Thats awesome to hear, most churches now are businesses feeding some
Cadillac driving fat cat at the top. Catholics and Protestans alike.

I tried joining a few Churches and I could easily see right thru them.
    $$$$ driven.

Then I tried just watching Christain TV til one day this sweet old lady calls in
from home and she sounded pretty genuine and had a really bad hard
luck story. I called the station to see if they got her phone number by any
chance as i wanted to help her. Guy on the line says "send the $$ to us
and we will do a special prayer for her". That ended my Christian TV
    viewing. Scammers.

Jesus said "Do not throw your pearls to swine". And the only time Jesus
was violent in the Bible was when He went into the temple and trashed it
after He saw the people getting ripped off in His Fathers name. I dont want
to become an enabler to that.

Any non-money oriented churches around Pittsburgh worth checking out?

    thanks
    TGH
