    Default Smoking

I am going to try again to try to quit smoking. Any ideas would be appreciated!

And I apologize in advance for the total dickhead I am going to become for a while.

I have been smoking from when I was about 12 until now. I am going to be 46 in March.

    Thanks

Remember, none of us are getting out of this alive.......

Do what YOU want to do.....

My x, forced me to quit, then, when she told me to have a nice life, I took it back up....

    So is life............

How about that my aunt just died from the infamous 'spot on her lung'? She was going to have a knee replacement and went in for the standard physical to make sure she was ok for the surgery. Seven weeks later she was dead.

    She smoked.

a good friend of mine wife died from lung cancer, she never smoked a day in her life or hung out where "second hand smoke" was available.. anyway to the op, just stop cold turkey. i did it, lasted six years. cut down on the stress and you will succeed..

Those story's don't work to well on a long term smoker. I have had a few people close to me die from it.

I am sorry to here about your Aunt though.

Alls I can say is good luck. I have tried several times to no avail. Something I learned that seems to help somewhat. Take a piece of paper and a pen or pencil, write down the top 10 benefits you can think of that you will receive from quitting (ie. better smelling breath, more energy, saving money ect) everytime you crave a smoke, look at the list you made and remind yourself why you are quitting. Smoking is a very addictive thing for most people, others can stop on the drop of a hat. Good luck!
