Default !!! LRGC MEMBERS - URGENT VOTE JANUARY 7, 2010

There have been some nominations at the club that are absolutely not in the interest of the shooting programs that are enjoyed there by many.

If you are a member of LRGC since at least 1/7/09, you are ELIGIBLE TO VOTE.

If you enjoy the action shooting sports at our club, and the prosperity that it has brought, you must attend this meeting and support the board of trustee candidates who support us. We cannot fail in this election.

PLEASE be there and support candidates Ron and Larry for the two open board of trustee positions. Post here and let me know you're coming. No excuses, get married some other day. If you're eligible to vote, you're either dead, in a coma, or there alongside me voting.

--Freddy Wissing, Vice President and chair of LRGC/Practical Rifle

I will be there also with my two sons, if as asked, you can provide us with more information.

    Sure.

LRGC's corporate entity (the decisionmaking power) rests with the board of trustees. There are five of them.

Two of those seats are up for election. They are two separate, unrelated contests.

One of those seats is held by the best friend of practical shooting sports at the club, (Ron N.). Ron worked the zombie match with us, and even provided the tent at the shotgun field. Ron is running for re-election, but has been challenged for the seat. The challenge is from someone who only wants to sow discontent, and is an outspoken opponent of any program at the club that wasn't there during his childhood in the 1960's. We absolutely need to win this election.

The other board seat is a three way race. I am supporting Larry B for that seat. Larry shoots with practical rifle and action pistol, and will represent us very well. He is the sitting president, and will vacate that seat for the more powerful board position.

Unlike the first race I describe, I have no evidence that the other two candidates in the second election seek to do active harm to any shooting sport, but the most EBR friendly candidates get my votes, and that's Larry & Ron by a mile.

    Thank you guys.

Please reach out to other members you know who are voter-eligible, and urge them to attend at all costs.

Not familiar with the issue- but I can pretty much figure it out. Also not eligible to vote - new member as of late 2009.

For those who can't vote, consider calling someone you know who can. Also, if you are free, why not comeout and show your physical support for Larry and Ron.

    Thanks,
    Gary

I got accepted into the club last night (thursday).
I should be allowed to vote right?
    I'll be there...
Can you send me a PM with more specifics on who's running for what and who is a friend to us? Last night all I heard were a bunch of names I didn't know....

    C1,

You need to be a member for a full year prior to being able to vote. That said, you can certainly attend the meeting and stand with us.

    Thanks again,
    Gary

C1, I was also accepted in Thursday. I haven't had a chance to go over the bylaws yet, but I guess we are SOL as far as voting this round as we are provisional members for the first year. I will try and attend though as the practical shooting was a big draw for me as far as joining.

Gary and Freddy, I'd also appreciate any additional info you can share. My first time there was the Nov. meeting, and from the two that I've attended, I'd say that the politics is "interesting", but I'm pretty clueless on the cast of characters.
