Capacity Limit for deer?
Is there any sort of capacity limit for deer hunting in PA?
I searched the regulations section of the Game Commission web site and did not see any. The only limit i found was for turkey.
I am asking this for rifle, handgun and shotgun hunting.
I do not believe there is a limit but I just want to be safe.
Thanks

Re: Capacity Limit for deer?
If you mean magazine capacity. Not that I am really aware of but most legal firearms for deer hunting have small capacities anyway. I only need one shot anyway

Re: Capacity Limit for deer?
No. At least not in the booklet that gets passed out w/ your license. Maybe the WCO who frequents this site can correct me if I'm wrong.
You're limited to 3 shots for turkey, small game, and waterfowl. At a PGC range it's 3/rifle and 6/pistol. That's all the limits I can remember.
Are you planning to hunt deer w/ a pump action AR w/ a 30 round magazine?
I wouldn't say "most". I'd say "many." I know my Henry's Big Boy holds 10 rounds. I can think of at least half a dozen others w/ more than 4 round capacity off the top of my head.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Re: Capacity Limit for deer?
There are none for deer. ....except if you qualify with a disability to use a semi-auto then there is a magazine 4rd capacity limit with them.

Re: Capacity Limit for deer?
Remington made a pump in 223 that took regular AR magazines. Grice's was advertising them as a 'poor man's AR' earlier this year when real AR's were nuts. I think they came with a black or camo stock and some were available with a ghost ring sight. $400 or so I think, but I don't have the flyer anymore.
Also, I think you can get extended magazines for the Rem 760/7600 that hold 10 rounds. Not quite a pump AR but a hell of lot of firepower, especially in 30-06.
