    Default LTCF permit ???

Do you "have" to get the permit/paperwork in the county you live in?

Since this is a "PA" state permit, I was thinking no.?

Seems that some counties or areas are much quicker and easier to get the paperwork processed.

    Thanks

    Your observation is, unfortunately, correct.

A Pa LTCF is issued by the Sheriff's Dept for the county in which you reside so, yes, you must use your Sheriff.

As the days tick by while you are waiting, keep in mind the LTCF is good for 5 years.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Just remember, as long as you have a a clean record and 2 references, within 45 days you WILL have your permit because PA is SHALL ISSUE. Good luck and report back once you have it!

Regretfully, that is not always the case.

But I thought those in a position of power always followed the law...
