    Default Pistol transfer question?

On the Federal form, what do you put down for your employment information if you are unemployed? And will this have any effect on whether or not you are approved?

    Thanks,
    -Zach

    Zach,

Just put down "unemployed" if that is indeed the truthful answer. There is no negative stigma to being unemployed. Shit, over 10 percent of the population is being reported as unemployed and there are many others that benefits have run out or decided to go back to "dancing."

There will be no negative impact to putting "unemployed" on the federal form. The decision to allow the transaction is based on the yes/no questions and the background check.

Apparently I have to spread the rep around before I can get you again. Thank you for the quick response!

That part of the form is a leftover from the days (long ago) that they actually did a background check and although the instant check systems are now in place and they don't need it, it's still on the form.

The only people that see that form are the FFL's, (BATFE and police if doing a compliance check or an investigation).
