Laws that forbid the carrying of arms ... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. ... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." Re: Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors Gun & Knife Show
I'll be there. I walked around an old Parker at the last show. One of the dealers told me,"nice gun, wrong show"
Still I got to see the whole show in about an hour- costs the same as going to a movie.

Re: Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors Gun & Knife Show
Any info on AR's at the show? Gear? I'm building an AR or two and could use some parts....other than that, there's no real reason for me to go.

Re: Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors Gun & Knife Show
Its local to me so I went...just got back. It was exactly like the previous Oaks show. Half the tables had knives, stun guns, license plates, wood carvings...
Precision Armaments had a table with many AR uppers. They look nice but I do not know how they are price-wise. There were 2 other vendors/tables with AR uppers.
The people with all of the powder, reloading components and brass were there.
I saw a table or two with alot of CCI small rifle primers.
I was eyeing the tables through AK glasses.
For 7.62x39 they had 2 sellers:
1. I think it was "308ammo"- the one with the yellow banner that always seems to be in the back row. I bought 500 of Wolf FMJ/$114.95+tax
2. Other vendor had the Russian brand that begins with a "U" and is metal cased FMJ for $230/1000 IIRC (and 1000 was smallest quantity, no half-cases) He also had wooden crates of Yugo brass-cased surplus 1260 (or 1280?) rounds for $230 IIRC
I bought the only AK sling in the show from a guy who wasn't certain it was an AK sling, for the uncertainty price of $5. Looks fine on my AK.
I couldn't find a buttstock cleaning kit or fancy front sight tool but that's what the internet is for (already made a crude front sight turner by drilling & filing a 5/16-18x1 Hex Head Cap Screw)

Re: Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors Gun & Knife Show
Sounds like it's hardly worth the time and money to go...guess I'll skip and go to the next valley forge show if I'm around. Thanks!

Re: Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors Gun & Knife Show
Yep! Definite waste of $10.00, very little actual dealers, lots of knives stun guns, hats and bumper stickers, I won't go back to that show either.
