Default What do you have for breakfast before you head out?

I'll probably just make some toast and coffee.
I know it's not nearly hearty enough for breakfast but I don't feel like cooking up a storm!

What do you guys usually cook up?

Any of you stop out at diners for breakfast before you head in?

Wawa Bacon egg and cheeses bagel and some fruit to eat in the truck. If I`m real ambitious I stop at the Meadowbrook and let Travis cook.

Being another one of those 3rd shift workers, I generally eat non breakfast food for breakfast. On those rare days off I'll eat cereal or pop tarts, something quick and easy.

    Coffee.

After about 4 or so hours up on the hill I usually come down for an egg sandwich or something then head back up.

cereal w/ milk or egg sandwhich

    coffee if I've got time

remember whatever you eat MAY come out while in the woods, eating a greassy ass breakfast is not a good idea if you don't want to shit yourself or miss that once in a lifetime buck because your pants are down.

eat stuff you know won't affect your guts

I also find its much much better for me if I eat a normal sized breakfast and pack food in with me, I rarely go into the woods without 2 sandwhiches, a pack of crackers or 2, and a bottle of water... you don't want to leave because you are starving and if you can outlast the other hunters you'll often get whatever they kick out when they are heading in to eat!
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Yup, I was really tempted to make an egg sandwich or two before I headed out. I didn't do it because sometimes egg hits me wrong and I end up on the toilet for longer then I'd like to.

Usually just 2 cups of coffee, but on weekends this time of year, maybe an apple dumpling or oatmeal with the coffee.
Occasionally, I'll make eggs benedict on a weekend.

When I'm camping with the family, that's when I usually have a "real breakfast" consisting of coffee, OJ, bacon and eggs and pancakes/french toast, home fries.

Guess I'm an old country boy and used to the grease. Most deer season breakfasts consist of home fries, bacon or sausage, fried eggs, toast, coffee, and juice. That's been opening day for 36 years.

My son doesn't like eggs so we've added corn beef hash, or toaster waffles or sometimes cold cereal for him.

It takes lots of calories to keep the fire burning and fat has the most calories.
