We need to rally together and stop this injustice because it is just the first step to taking away our Second Amendment for good!

I don't own any Class 3 things... yet.
But if LAW ABIDING citizens were allowed to buy NEW auto guns, I would probably be able to afford one! I would want an LWRC M6A4 and a PSD upper.
I will never be able for afford one plus an auto sear! Maybe if we were allowed to own new ones that are cheaper.

Anyways, I'm rambling. This is unconstitutional and needs to be handled!
The "no new machine guns" provision was an amendment to the McClure/Volkmer Firearms Owners Protective Act of 1986, included by anti-gun legislators at the last minute and pushed through (who needs a machine gun anyway?). Reagan was under a lot of pressure to sign due to the provisions of the act that corrected 1968 GCA abuses (like the requirement to sign paperwork to buy handgun ammo). Since the President didn't have line-item veto power, he had to accept or reject the legislation as a whole. BTW, the governments (federal, state and local) have been chipping away at our 2nd Amendment right since New York City's Sullivan Act of 1911.

I don't know what goes into doing that hardware-wise, so if you do, feel free to share. Mostly though I want to know the legal implications of doing so. Would I have to re-register it with the BATF or what?

Or at least one that isn't 10 years old and expired.
