Default Finally took the OC Plunge...

I've been CC'ing for the past 12 years and finally decided to start OC'ing after reading all of the positive posts on this forum about OC.

It was an uneventful first OC day for me on Saturday, went to Sheetz in Pleasant Hills in the morning. I'm sure one or two people may have noticed, but no comments, employees were friendly, as always.

Next stop was the GetGo on Rt.51 to get some gas with my FuelPerks, don't think anyone noticed me.

Then I went to Ohio to my mothers house for a few hours to take care of some mommy to do lists... BTW, I have my UTAH permit for carrying in Ohio.

Came back to Pittsburgh and swung by the Giant Eagle in Brentwood, again no issues.

As I mentioned, pretty much uneventful OC, just the way it should be. Thanks for all of the other OC'er who have posted up thier experiences, I would have never OC'd before without all of the positive OC experiences that the PAFOA group has had.

    "Welcome to the dark side!"

It has been my experience that OC goes largely unnoticed or if noticed is uneventful. I have yet to have an encounter I would consider negative, and I have had so many positive encounters, I have given away almost 100 flyers in the last year alone!

As more and more law-abiding citizen/patriots OC and demonstrate that the streets will not run red with the blood of innocents, we take giant strides in exposing the lies of the anti-gun crowd.

I hope you will continue to OC more frequently, thanks for posting your experiences!

ETA: Happy one-year anniversary at PAFOA! Maybe we'll hear from you a little more often as you post your experiences.

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Congrats Medic005... adn as has been said, welcome to the dark side.

I started OC myself not all that long ago, but when you hang around the likes of Mikey, PennsyPlinker, ungawa, DCDalton, gnbrotz and other characters like them it becomes second nature in no time

Kinda funny - I OC almost daily anymore. I did get noticed yesterday - by my sons friend (who's father is an US Marshall) when we were out to dinner. He quietly leaned across the table to tell my wife "I had a gun". She of course chuckled and explained in ten-year-old terms that I was allowed to do that. She also asked him "Ill bet your dad carrys too"?... "Oh no - not in public, only while he is working" was the answer.

Guess everyone isnt concerned with personal safety though.

Anyway - great to hear no issues - "carry on"

Working good, put around 20 rounds through at the range about two months ago. Thanks!

Congrats on a positive OC experience. What gun are you carrying? Just curious. People hardly ever notice my CW9 - although lately I have gotten the "Cop? Army?" questions due to my shaved head and OC when people do notice.

Side note: ain't that UT permit nice for being able to go to OH? I have to travel there often for work and hated leaving my gun at home when I was in unfamiliar territory and alone.
