Re: Just got back from Surplus City
That is a nice sks, purdy wood too. How is the store surplus city, any good. I haven't been there and wondering if it is worth justifying a road trip. I am into surplus rifles if that helps.

So, did you just get the sks or the sks and the yugo u/f?
I too spent some coin in there this week.

Re: Just got back from Surplus City
He had a lot of stuff on sale, Cetmes 308 499.00 and some Yugo AKs, man the gap is closing between a minty SKS and Yugo under folders I mean the Yugos went down a lot, I don't know how far you are but there is a lot to be had.
I got both from him, but the SKAS today the Yugo UFO a couple of months ago during the summer

Re: Just got back from Surplus City
Congratulations...nice looking rifle. I was there this morning and came out with one of the Winchester Model 69A bolt-action .22 rifles they have. They're surplus from the Conneticut Home Guard which is where they got the brand-new-in-box Colt Government models from 1951.

Thanks, I was looking at those Colts it was tempting, had a hard time deciding on a SKS vs another Yugo U/F or one of the CETME.

I had bought one of the Colts last year when they first got them in.

Re: Just got back from Surplus City
I've been there a few times, it's worth the drive for me from Harrisburg. They always seem to have a good selection and even during the craze their prices were appropriate to the market. That earned them a lot of points in my book.
