    Default DSA SA58 OSW grip

In about two more months im getting my first rifle and pistol, so excited. I digress, the rifle im getting is, well, a DSArms SA58 OSW. I was wondering if anyone know if its easy to change the pistol grip. i dont like the 249 SAW so I dont want its pistol grip on my rifle. On an off note does anyone know i can change the folding stock to colapsable one, like you can with an AK, even though it will still be folding i want the colaspable part also. Thank you for your time.
p.s what does DSA stand for?

The grip should be held on by a flathead nut threaded onto a stud attached to the lower receiver. A decent screwdriver with a wide blade should be all you need unless DSA does something different than Entreprise Arms. But I can't see why you would have to change it from a SAW grip since the SAW grip is an option on that rifle, it comes with a standard grip from the factory, not a SAW.

The only way I know of to get a collapsible stock on a FAL would be to have someone weld up an adapter to allow a CAR type stock to be fitted, essentially ruining the factory folder except for the hinge itself.

Also, are you waiting two more months for your ATF approval?

DSA is Dave Selvaggio Arms, the founders name.

No problem, and you do know that the rifle is a short barreled rifle and requires ATF paperwork before you can take possesion of it right?

You might want to check with your CO if you will be keeping it on base as well.

I don't want to sound like a jerk, just making sure you will be able to get the rifle without any unexpected delays.

I guess you want something like this?

I haven't been able to try the ACE folding mechanism yet, but that sounds like what you want. The FAL PARA stock is the best folding stock I've been able to get my hands on so far.

the OSW can be built with a 16" barrel if i'm not mistaken so no need for ATF paperwork. do yourself a favor and don't destroy your OSW by adding a AR style stock. an AR style stock looks good on an AR15 but is an abortion on an Ak or FAL. DSA offers several stock options so check back on their webpage to see what else is offered before you f... up your rifle and add an AR style stock.

if you haven't already ordered your rifle than you best order it now because last i checked DSA was looking at 20 weeks plus to fill a rifle order. the OSW is a kickass rifle and i'd love to have one just can't afford it right now so i'll have to be satisfied with my STG58.

Not for nothing BUT .. Take a look at the last sentance of the stock.. Seems you will need more parts to make this stock work.

I also agree with Wellcraft, AR stocks only look good on AR's.. But thats just my opinion. Think it might take away from the value of the rifle.. Kinda like taking old silver coins and cleaning them up, takes value away from them.

    Snert...
