This is too cool not to share!
So today I decided to sign up for an Ancestry.com trial membership after finding some documents on some relatives. This is the WWII draft registration for my great-grandfather on my dad's side. I was more than thrilled to find this!

Way too neat, we have my dad's WWII paperwork from the Navy. It is so cool to see someone of your age that gives a damn about heritage. Stay with your research as it is very rewarding.

Wait til you are able to find deeper relatives. That is a very good site. I have been using it for a year now, and have traced my wife's family back to colonial times and it is neat read the stories about the different patriots in her family.

That is cool.
A few years ago, I was doing research on my family, traced my mother's side, back to the Alcaeson region, to the 1500's.

I sent away for a copy of my family tree.
They sent me back a bunch of bananas.

I found out that my great-grandfather was in the battle of Gettysburg. His name is on the Pennsylvania memorial.

Very cool find. It's kind of a shame how much people don't care about this stuff these days especially when your own family can be filled with lots of cool pieces of history. So many people just throw this stuff out when their relatives pass away. I know I still have all of my grand fathers medals and uniform from WWII and one of the coolest things we have is a picture of him and his friends that they took together on the day they went to enlist.
