In Philly you can spend a day taking in the historical sites around 5th and Market. The William Penn house is a good place. You can also tour the US. Mint. Then you can head towards the Art museum. The University of Penn has a unique medical museum that you may want to see. Then to end the day you can have dinner on the Mushulu (spelling?) down at Penns Landing. And then get the hell out of the city. Gettysburg is nice for day trip as well as Hershey Park. The Park has some Christmas doings going on at that time of the year. I am unsure that any of these are carry legal but at least you can have some options.

The Franklin Institute also has Body Worlds 2 going on now. I went the first time and it was pretty cool. I don't remember any metal detectors the last time I was there...

I would advise against carrying anywhere hear the historical sights downtown. The National Parks service runs most of that area, and you never know when you'll venture into National Parks Service controlled territory:

That said, don't leave town without having a Cheesesteak. If you're staying in Norristown, Lee's Hoagie House at Germantown and 202 has really good cheesesteaks. If you're downtown, Jim's at 4th and South is really good, although Copabanana on the corner across the street has better bread.

    Here's another one:

That's the official map of the park. According to the map, the NCC is in the park.

    Just FYI... and 10

    Hi Eric,

Your Google Maps problem report has been reviewed, and you were right! We'll update the map within a month and email you when you can see the change.

    Report history
    Problem ID: 0A7E-BD97-23C0-0E98
Your report: The National Constitution Center should be highlighted in green because it is part of the National Independence Historical Park. This is important because some people use google maps to get National Park boundaries for the purpose of determining whether it is legal to carry firearms there.
