Default Kimbers and aftermarket mags, issues?

I bought two brand new Chip McCormick Custom mags for the Custom CDP today, been meaning to get extras for a while now. Loaded one up and dropped it into the gun and attempted to chamber a round .. nada. Damn thing rams the bullet into the back bottom of the barrel.

So is it just these or are Kimbers 'finicky' about mags? If so what brands should I be looking for, seems no one has actual Kimber mags in stock any more.

    Here you go DC dalton:

    I don't own a Kimber, but I've never had a problem with ACT-mags.
They are also branded as Novak and Nighthawk BTW.

I have a few Wilson 47D's that are well built as well.

I'm actually curious to try a few of the C-products mags, as they just got into the 1911 mag game and I've had great luck with their AR mags.

Try different ammo as well as mags. I like Wilson 47D's and ETM's

I use Wilson Combats in my Kimber, they run 100%

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

May be coming down to see you Tuesday for this. Didn't get the chance last week and being at the show it seemed an 'easy fix' but this kind of crap I wont tolerate, will be getting a refund tomorrow at the show and then trying to find some decent mags.

If you get down here I will look it over for you might be a simple fix. I have had to work on quite a few 1911's for feeding issues. And the name in the side of the slide does not matter.
