    Default SIG 556 pistol

    Just purchased a sig 556 pistol, (swat) and want to know if I can put a grip on the forearm l don,t want and will not do anything illegal, or does mean a fed. stamp would have to be purchased? harley104

    You will need to file with the ATF since putting the VFG on it would make it an "AOW" (Any Other Weapon).

    PS: Good purchase BTW, it's one of my favorite toy and also my primary HD gun.

    your going to need a register the pistol as a AOW if you want to add a forward pistol grip. I think the cost for an AOW is only 5 bucks but you still have to go through the form 4 process w/finger print cards, passport photos etc.

    I think the cost for an AOW is only 5 bucks
    I think it is $200 to make it an AOW, then if you want to transfer it later it is $5.

    Fuck it, this is what he should do with it. If I hadn't gotten rid of mine this is what I would have done.
