    Default KT P11 slide problem

A couple of weeks ago this problem began: the slide doesn't stay open after the last round is ejected. (It worked fine for about 350 rounds.) It doesn't matter which ammo I use, and it does it with both of my 2 magazines. I cleaned it thoroughly and put in an empty mag, racked the slide and it still won't stay open.

Got over 500 rounds through it and it works perfectly otherwise. I did the "fluff and buff" as described at the KT Owner's Group and it's smoother than ever. Also added the mag extension so the pinky has something to grip and a trigger shoe which improved the feel when firing.

    Any thoughts/experiences with this?

    Thanks.

Default Re: KT P11 slide problem

I had one of these. I liked it, and it never really gave me a problem. I did have this happen though. The catch on the slide is probably rounded a little bit.

    A) if you have before, stop using the side catch lever to release the slide and chamber a round.

    B) File the notch in the slide to a sharper edge.
