Don't now about east york, but Isaac Walton League is close to York, and very nice.

West York Sporting Goods / Indoor Public Shooting Range

This is a great place. It is never busy and at the moment they are taking appointments for the range. Winter hours are slow so he takes appointments. This is where I shoot on the reg. Owner operated and nice selection and prices.
THEY HAVE A TON OF SIG SAUER P SERIES PISTOLS IN 45 ACP
Give a holler if you set up an appointment I would meet you there !!!

Re: Gun clubs/ranges
not going to put the place down but there was a decent amount of talk about this place a while back that wasnt positive. i have also had a few negative experiences there. just give the guy your money and shoot.
or there is Starview and the york rifleman which are both on waiting lists. but both are in east york. not too far from galleria mall. with enough notice i could probably meet you at york rifleman. but i dont belong to starview hopefully will get in 2010. i am still in my probationary period but computersteve and johnUSCG are both members that can sponsor you.

Re: Gun clubs/ranges
Mrs. Curmudgeon and I just joined Windsor Fish and Game, but we haven't had a chance to do any shooting there. In fact it was dark when we signed up, so we haven't even seen the place during the day yet!
Closest place to you is probably York Rifleman, but good luck getting in, they are at their limit, and I hear the line is long.
Depending on where in S'bury you live, let me know if you would like to see Windsor. The Windsor/S'bury line is 6 houses away from me, and it takes me about 10 minutes to get to my range. Windsor is about the least expensive place I've seen.

yeah both york rifleman and starview are at there limits and on waiting lists. but if it is close it doesnt hurt to get on the list :-) starview is always on a list and york rifleman just filled up about 8 months ago. so there is a chance of getting in this next year.
how is windsor fish and game?
