walmart ammo sale?

A lot of GT members saying walmart is unloading certain varieties of ammo dirt cheap. Like $5 for 124g 9mm. No such deals at Bradford wally world today, but they still stuck me for $100 bucks in ammo. Worked out for them didn't it.

Well check out your local walmarts you might get lucky.

Rumor has it that WM is trying to get out of firearms and ammo sales completely. Many WM stores have already stopped selling firearms, so ammo is the next step.

Normally, before the hunting season, WM stores will clearance some firearms and ammo that hasn't been selling well.

It would be sad if that happened across the board. I could understand unloading ammo and guns in areas that don't sell well.

Back in late February of this year, Kory Lundberg, a walmart spokesperson, said the company will continue to sell ammunition and other gun supplies. Lundberg was quoted in the York Daily Record:

I doubt you'll see a complete removal of ammo. In State College, i know one of the guys who runs sporting goods well. And basically in SC ammo flies off the shelves. And not just ammo, they started selling reloading components and tools too (Basics RCBS stuff, Powder is overpriced, but the Hornady and Sierra bullets are reasonable). Again same thing they're selling well.

So who knows, both Walmarts in State College sell ALOT of ammo, but i can see how others do not.

Hey God's Country,

The Wal-Mart store that I patronize used to sell firearms but not anymore. They are now down to selling just shotgun ammunition, a few scopes, safety glasses and gun cleaners.

from what i hear, up in alaska, the walmart stores even carry handguns.......

I know that a few W-marts here around Pgh had some stuff clearanced.

Depending on the cal. it was between $1 and $5 off per box.
Of course all the 9mm was gone...
(Not ALL the 9mm, just the brand that was marked down)
