Default First OC Encounter with Tredyffrin PD

There was a Tredyffrin PD officer talking to folks at the BP/Dunkin Donuts in Devon around 11 this morning.

I needed Diesel for the car as well as donuts for the boys.
I hadn't encountered one of their officers yet and was wondering if they were as up on OC as their neighbors in Radnor.

The officer was about 5 feet from me as I pumped the fuel. He looked at me, looked at the S&W M&P .45, looked at me again and then continued the conversation he was having with another customer.

My kind of encounter - he noticed the .45, knew it was legal and we both just went on about our business :-)

Good non-encounter, since he didn't say anything or approach you...another officer who knows the legalities of open carry.

Had many encounters like this. We tend to hear only about the ones that don't go "right"... Thanks for posting.

Always nice to see the efforts of the people here and paopencarry (especially Rich and Greg) working.

Nice encounter and another big thanks to all those that made it happen.

Come to think of it...did you get the donuts BEFORE or after you went pumping? Gun + donuts = obviously a cop.

Yup - VW Jetta TDI - I get about 46 MPG - I work in State College - I've already put 24K miles on the car since Feb.

Pumped first - donuts later :-)
I have 2 teenage boys - the donuts lasted about 5 mins after I got home......
