That movie was shot here in Toms River. That house is right by the river on water st. After the movie was shot they actually relocated the house on the same property but turned it so those windows faced the river. Probably so people from out of town couldn't locate the house. (Just a little trivia)
They picked Toms River because it is such a boaty town. Many spots in Amityville Horror are actually spots in Toms River and also George in Court College in Lakewood.
