more or less it is an ar 10.but put on layaway a f/n tactical in 308 and can't wait to pick it up.toped it off with a 4.5x14 nikon mill dot.

it comes with 3 sizes, small med,or large cheeck piece.

just the feel of this gun and the way it points when you throw it up is awesome.

only owe a couple bucks on it and if things go good this week i'll pick it up and let you know.
do you feel lucky punk, well do ya!

If you want some more feedback, it usually helps if you ask a bit more specifically. We need to know what kind of information you're looking for, otherwise people don't know exactly where to start or what you'd like to know.

just basic info, how they shoot, buying one over building one. i didnt realize there was a 11% excise tax on them either. im planning on buy something in the next 2 months, in either .308 or 5.56
pros and cons from people that shoot them all the time. im looking to buy/build a basic rifle, i dont need all the bubba accessories

If your looking for one I can show you one locally. Im in Fayetteville which is 45-60 minutes from Harrisburg. There is a local gun shop that has one for 995 brand new.

I'd be more than happy to show ya around!

I have a DPMS 7.62x51 Sportical which is their cheapest model and I love it. I probably only have 600 rds through it but no problems. Groups well, (about 1 in at 100 yrds) recoil is a lot less than I expected. I don't know about long rage since I never had the opportunity to shoot more than 100 yrds. Paid around $950 new. A lot of people trash DPMS but I own two of them and both have been reliable. I think both are quality guns that I would recommend to anyone. Customer service is also very good, I sent them an email once about recommended ammo and they responded that day. I don't know about repairs since I haven't had any problems yet.

I've got an Armalite AR10 A4C that I bought new about 1 1/2 years ago.

It started out life from Armalite looking like this:

and today it looks like this:

I don't keep exact round counts but I think that I've put somewhere around 300 - 350 rounds through it. I've had zero problems with it and I'd recommend an Armalite to anybody thinking of one.

The one thing about EBR's chambered in .308 is that everything is more expensive than those in .223 (especially ammo!) and there are less choices of accessories.

The flip side is that there is nothing like the thump of an EBR chambered in 308. It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside

thanx guys, i got to fondle 2 DPMS Panthers in poodle shooter, and they felt good. Ill look around and see what I can get one for. suggested retail on the LR-308 is $1042. and thats in my range. the flat top will do just fine, ive been playing with some different eye reliefs because of my bi-focals......
