Default Which to carry,, Beretta .380 or TRP .45 ??

A friend of a friend’s second cousin asked to post this question. This is a hypothetical question, having nothing to do with real life or me.

If someone owned an inherited model 1934 Beretta in .380 cal. made in 1944 and also owned a Springfield TRP in .45 cal. made in 2006, which do you feel would be best to use as a carry weapon?

The debate starts after one would have to legally use the weapon on a BG. The LEO would certainly want to look at the weapon. They most likely would confiscate the weapon for a period of time. Does a person get into trouble for having a “non registered” weapon if the Beretta had been used? Would you want to give up a TRP? Would you want the .gov to know about the Beretta? They already know about the TRP.

    What do you think?

    Thanks,
    George
    George,

wow, thats exactly the kind of hypothetical mumbo jumbo the webernet loves...........

me? TRP, hands down, no question.

    1. I carry a pricey 1911
    2. My life is worth it
    3. If I lose it, and care, Im alive and can buy another
    4. 45 vs. .380 ? really ?

I could go on and on. the fact is, if you ever need to use that gun in SD you have bigger worries than losing the gun.

If the Berretta doesnt have an sentimental value sell it, use that money to get some good training.
